Douche of the Week: Dennis Kucinich

September 24th, 2007

This week, we salute Democratic Ohio Congressman (and Presidential hopeful) Dennis Kucinich for his titillating tour of the Middle East. Apparently, Mr. Kucinich thought himself just too darn important to stick to his President’s policy of avoiding direct talks with the oligarchic Syrian government; nay, the solidarity of the American administration must be sacrificed to Mr. Kucinich’s politcal ambitions. During this visit, he made it a point to stop by Syria and have a little one-on-one time with Syrian President Bashar Assad, a prolific sponsor of terror and sworn enemy of the United States.

The "solidarity of the American administration"???!??!?

I know that 2000 - 2004 events kind of made it hard to remember, but CONGRESS is not a part of the administration -- it is a seperate and EQUAL branch of government. The WH has no more right to "boss" members of Congress than have they to "boss" the Executive. Did you sleep through High School Civics class?

Hopefully in the next administration we will actually have people who understand diplomacy, statesmanship, and how to act like a world leader. Kucinich, unlike Bush, seems intelligent enough to understand world politics and how to deal diplomatically with different countries.

Do you mean the same Syrian President that Condi Rice has paid a visit to?

Statesman my azz!

These libs are incredibly just flat out weird.

Condi Rice talks to Syria why? Uhhhhhhhh, she is secretary of state=diplomat.

Bush's special team of congressmen and senators=dipomats.

Self appointed diplomats like Kucinich or Pelosi that take it upon themselves going against the wishes of the administration=selfish liberal lackies only interested in their own self importance.

Kucinich is a Congressman and is not empowered by his position to determine the foreign policy of the United States. He needs to butt out and leave that kind of thing to the professionals, like Dr. Rice.

No I did not know that. Thank you for informing me. Why is it communication and diplomacy looked down on so badly? Communication is key to solving problems. It's not like if we ignore them they will go away.

A fitting award for yet another liberal who snuggles with our enemies and ignores our troops.

you know, anyone can set up a website to sell stuff, that doesn't mean your online 'Gap for Guerillas' is a credible news source.

Thanks for sharing.

Dennis Kucinich doesn't stand a chance of getting his parties nomination anyway.
