This is my old roommate, whom I thought was my good buddy... could've easily NOT ASKED for my blessing, because I DONT CARE if they hook up but let me know what he's doing. I havent talked to him in 2 weeks, and I heard he took her out to a movie and went out for a few drinks last night. So I assume this is something he's plotted, since he hasnt talked to me recently. I wish him the best with the gal, but I want to call him out on trying to do it the way he is?

I dont think its too cool for friends to date ex-girlfriends or ex-boyfriends, that's just a rule of friendship that you dont do that. I dont know if there is much use calling him out because he's probably going to tell you what he thinks you want to hear. I'm sure he's not going to tell you the real answer as to why he started talking to her. You should ask you ex-girlfriend what the story is if you are that curious. If I were you, I would just cut both of them from your life. A true friend doesn't do that & that's a little scandalous of your ex to do that too.

I dated my friend's ex boyfriend in high school. I lost the friendship. But I have now been married to him for 8 years and we have 2 kids. Sometimes things work out for the best.

Shut the door on both of them. Who cares what they do, because you are moving on and now you know why he is your ex. She isn't a very good friend either, because if you where only broke up for two weeks, she didn't give you both time to work things out.

I thought best friends shared everything. What's the big deal. Couldn't be a big ego, could it? You need to be more like a southern man. They don't care if they come, stay, lay, or pray!

Seems like he did warn you, and maybe he just feels uncomfortable discussing it with you any further. After he gets into her delicates, he'll probably be done with her and hopefully things will be back to normal between you.

I would hate that girl, so YES be upset. It's okay to let things out.

He is just following your steps which you have left behind. So there should not be reason for your being upset.

You should be upset that they haven't asked for your blessing.
