We don't but I knew of four sisters who were all named after flowers and another family who gave each child (they had seven) a name beginning with the letter 'A' - the couple's names both began with 'A' too.

I knew of a family close to where I grew up with 14 kids: 2 sons, and 12 daughters!! Each daughter was named MARY!! You know, like Mary Jo, Mary Sue, Mary Mary...

Another family with the last name "Taylor" named their 4 sons Tim, Tom. Ted, and Todd.

Another family, with the mother and father named Joe and Jean, named their five kids Joe, Judy, Jack, Joyce, and Jeff.

Oh, and one more: A guy I knew named his 3 daughters Ashleigh, Brittany, and Chelsea; he said if he had a fourth, she would be named Danielle (A,B,C,D)

My strategy is see the child call them the name you think suits them...but in Scotland where I come from kids often take names from ancestors. I was named my name then my mothers full name, followed by my surname for instances. My sisters have grandparents or great grantparents surnames as thier middle name.

I had two names picked out for my son. Irish names. But I made the final decision when I seen him. 2 minutes after he was born he got his name. The name matched the face.

I once worked with a woman who did this. Her name was Linda and she called her three sons Lee, Luke and Lawrence. None of them had a middle initial, and things got impossibly complicated when they got older and started to get things like bank cards and pin numbers all simply addressed to "L. Jones" all at the same address!

I am directly related to Robert E. Lee so the first child in each generation has the middle name "Lee". I was the first child, so I have the middle name "Lee" and I am going to carry this on to my first child.

No, up to my generation, we have tended to be named after deceased family members. Nowadays, new parents in the family just give their chldren any name they fancy.

No, but when I was a kid we ended up with 33 guinea pigs (although started with what we thought were 2 girls! Lol). They were all named with names starting with the letter P. Pickles, Purdy, Petuna, Poppy, Princess, Pip, Po etc. etc. (please dont ask me to remember all 33 Lol).
