Laws that were written 30 years ago are now impacting the way we live negatively. Why should your special interest group dictate how I should live? Here's an example; 25 years ago, my husband and I declared Chapter 13; we acknowledged the fact that we borrowed money, but couldn't pay the interest rates. Our monthly payment was determined by the court and paid until completion. Fast forward to today; a friend of ours declared Chapter 13 two years ago, and the court has petitioned to take her pay. Not just a manageable portion, but ALL OF HER PAY. Now, in OUR frame of mind, the answer to your question is it creates TRAGIC problems. The court apparantly does not care that she has no money for food, gas, home heating (in September in the Midwest) or any OTHER luxury. You tell me.

Some people are under the impression you can legislate everything, but if you use you God given common sense, you will come to know that people are going to do what they are gong to do. Laws work only because of VOLUNTARY compliance.Thre isn't enough policemen in the world to keep an eye on everyone.

Promoting legislation on the world stage is difficult due to the number of different cultures you are dealing with. If you are talking about the US legislators, there is very little that they do that effects the world outside of our borders.

greetings. legislation has never helped before, don't see why it would suddenly start to work now. most of the problems we have at present are caused by legislation. like it being illegal to lynch politicians that lie to us or rob us blind. but it is legal for them to do anything to us that they feel like, including getting us killed in their wars for profit.

Well, if you can't pass a bill, make a law. The modern American justice system is a mockery of its intended purpose.
latergater, kind of makes me want to move to Mexico, renounce my US citizenship and come back as an illegal immigrant.
