Yes, I had chickenpox years ago. My boys have also had chickenpox when they were young. They had it really bad. On the palms of the hands and feet, also inside their lips and eyelids.

Oh bloody hell. I had that and so did all of my sisters and brothers, and it's no big deal -- just a bit of itching and putting up with looking all spotty for a while! If you want to talk about hideous childhood afflictions, try experiencing whooping cough. It's unforgettable, let me tell you. Second to that would have to be mumps. I can hardly hear out of one ear on account of that lovely affliction. Strep throat/scarlet fever is no picnic either. The only one I never managed to come down with was measles... knock on wood!

I had it years ago, like maybe 30 years ago? I had it when I was a little girl. Most people my age had it as children, at least where I live in the USA. There was no vaccine for it when we were kids, and it is very contagious. I remember when my cousin got it, there were only two kids in her entire classroom at school who didn't get it, and that was because they had already had it. The other kids all got it because they passed it around.

I got them when I was way younger. I remember it was the day before my birthday, but I can't remember how old I was turning. I just remember I was sad that I couldn't have a party.

No but i had shingles in my final year of high school
it is the chicken pocks virus on your nerve endings.. really really painful but i only had a couple of spots on my belly..

I did as a child, they itch like crazy!!! There should be a vaccine to prevent them now.

I had it as a kid. It left me with a tiny scar on my face! And I mean TINY.

Yes, twice. Once as a child and once as an Adult. I was pretty sick with it as an adult it was not pleasant.
