The meeting this week By GW Bush to discuss Global Emissions is Ignoring the fact that the USA Nukes are only allowed to Idle while EU plants run at 80%. No new US Nuke plants are Planned Nor being Allowed Permits while The EU is expanding it's nuke programs to meet Kyoto. the US gets around 18-20 % of it's electricity from Nukes France a Whopping 78%!

Yea Pens! Common Ground! Try living in the USA the Green party Here (known as the Democrats) Want Americans to Shut down shop and DIE as the only way to save the Planet! We want a better environment too but to let the Market drive it and through the use of alternative energy and Nuclear. They do not want us to have anything except graves.

Nuclear power is the safest, cleanest most efficient energy source out there. I lived ontop of a nuclear power plant for 6 months out of the year, (on a submarine) and worked around 16 Missles, that I can neither confirm nor deny had multiple nuclear warheads on them, and I had virtually no genetic deformaties at all! Just kidding, my TLD consistently showed less radiation than a day at the beach.
It strikes me as funny that the same GreenPeace terrorists that picketed and protested Nuclear Plants in the '80s (when they weren't obstructing shipping traffic and other crazy activities, are now seeing that Nuclear Power is alot cleaner than burning fossil fuels. Some are even begining to support it.

This is strange Thorgirl but I actually agree with you. Europe does want to expand its nuclear power plants to reduce carbon emmissions. The details about Germany are not correct (considering decommissioning) Some parties want decommissioning e.g. the Greens but others like the CDU (the largest party) want Nuclear plants.
Nuclear technology has come a long way, especially regarding safety and I see nothing wrong with using this technology for power.

It shows the hypocrisy of the left . Stop plants and jobs, higher gas and fuels.
No Nuke plants and we can not drill off off Fl or in Anware.
Why so the left can defeat the USA.
