Like a neighbor? I always make sure I look the next day to make sure they're all still there....it's creepy to hear that!

Doubt it was a pleasure scream...it sounded like a child and it had to have been super loud, we live in houses.....I'm assuming he/she had a nightmare.

Hi!

No, it doesn't scare me. It prompts me to sense out what is going on. Some people who have been partying stumble and scream, because they still believed they were in control of their body so are shocked; sometimes its more a laugh or a football fan elated after a match (we live close to a stadium and a number of pubs). On other occasions it is real distress, and in such cases I go and investigate and offer support. This year so far, I've put someone in recovery position and called an ambulance after hearing a girl scream who did not realise her boyfriend had seizures; startled muggers away from an intended victim and stemmed the head-wound of a reveler who had stumbled. Nothing too serious, though one could have been.

Good wishes.

I live in a densely packed college neighborhood, so I tend to ignore a lot of noises. I hear cars come and go, people talking, people laughing, and doors slamming closed.

A scream wouldn't seem terribly unusual, especially on a night when a lot of people are out drinking.

Never had that happen before but I would be worried especially considering the time of night it was.

Not scared...concerned, yes, which leads me to investigate right that moment.
