I just added you as a contact before I saw this question. (coz I liked the answer you gave someone elses question).

Hmm..

I would indeed feel rejected if you do not accept it.

:)

I'm a newcomer here, so I really don't understand the question. I really don't know how to ask to be a contact, so I hope people do not think I am ignoring them. I simply stumbled upon this place, and I've tried reading the rules and explanations, but I'm still quite confused.

I have messages sent to me with a link that I click on. I didn't know that I was supposed to do anything else. Are other people in the dark about how this works? Maybe if I keep rereading information, it will start making more sense.

I finally figured out the star thing! Go ahead and laugh, but I didn't know I was supposed to click on the actual star. I kept trying to figure out what the "star box" is all about! Maybe I'll continue my trial and error.

So, if someone does this, he or she might not understand how all of this works. As a Net newbie, I can guarantee that it will take me a long time to figure out all of this!

Don't take it too personal. I used to have contacts but I have on a couple of occasions shut up shop and deleted the lot of them. I am a recluse at heart and prefer having aquaintances to friends in truth: it's good to talk to people but I prefer not having ties. It doesn't mean they don't like you as a person: they just want to be independent of you/ feel out of place in your social circle. People can still E-mail me/ IM/ visit my 360 and say hello and sometimes I'll be chatty; sometimes I won't.

A little bit. Some people don't want to be anyone's "fan". I must admit that I have been a pig and not added some people. Just because I have no idea who they are and why they added me.

I am slow to think about adding people myself. Fear of rejection.

I haven't added a contact yet unless they've connected with me. lol. I guess I fear the rejection. Hehe x
It's worse when people take you off (after they've already connected). Look on the bright side.

Not really. I don't really know anybody on here, and they really don't affect my feelings, except when there is an idiot or two that tries to insult everybody that they run into.

I actually have more fans than contacts.
