Both are circulating complex. To make them simple fractions, we multiply the integer, with the denominator, and add the numerator.

so 5 2/7= [(5x7)+2] / 7 or 5 2/7= 37/7
same with 1 4/7 =11/7

So above abstraction is

37/7 - 11/7=(37-11)/7=26/7 =(21+5)/7 =[(3χ7)+5]/7=(3χ7)/7 +5/7=3 5/7
