They will if they can find her.

Now is a good time NOT for her to tell ANYONE where she is gong (if asked, say 'Australia' .. ) and she must NOT leave her new address with anyone in Saudi Arabia ... (not even Banks etc)

To really disappear she needs to change everything known about her (Bank accounts, email etc) and avoid ALL her friends in Saudi .. if she tells just one person where she is it will soon be known by all .. and not go to live at an address known by anyone in Saudi ..

NB. It is possible to track people via Voters Register - so if she has a middle name, I suggest she uses that ...

Even so, depending how much the Debt is for, they can still track her down, for example via her Pension payments ..

NOT AT ALL ....

I lived in Bahrain (next door to Saudi) ... I ran up a huuuuge hotel bill and a big bank loan ....

I came back to the UK without paying any of it off.

I have never paid a penny of it off.

Debts you run up in other countries have nothing to do with your life in the UK. Basically it's tough sh1t to the people you owe money to.

If I were her I'd get a massive loan before she leaves and really enjoy my retirement!!!

Don't worry, let's hope that they'll forget it. But .... debt should be paid no matter what, at least ask them to reduce the amount or rewrite it

I find it ironic that some are willing to throw away responsible ethical behavior for money.
Will they go after her / him? I wish they would. AND charge her / him all costs incurred in going after her / him.
Knowing that legal fees are very high, this can be in the tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars.
