Curious my friends all seem to have the answers when i ask them they can always tell me logical sensible answers to most things i ask so why is it.I cant give advice. What teaches people to give advice.

I say overall "experience."
People like that are just well experienced and intelligent to be able to quickly comprehend then process the answer back to the person or people asking the question.
Get this experience from everywhere; from school, tv, internet, reading, people, and life.

Well I can only speak for myself I am a good question answerer from experience, I give good advice on Yahoo Answers or to whomever according to my experience in similar situations some of the ones that is in need of advice. I will read what they ask or listen and if I can relate or if I know the answer I will answer and thats what makes me a good advisor.

Interesting question. I don't know if I'm the best person to answer but here goes...
I would say a empathy.
If you can put yourself in someone else's shoes and really understand what it is that they are looking for then you have a good chance of giving a satisfying answer. I don't think you can help someone unless you can relate to them.

If you are observant of people in general, it helps to watch TV or a movie with no volume and just observe facial expressions and body language, and you aren't jaded by envy or competitiveness, you just want to help, than in time you can 'read' a persons motives, read patterns of behavior, and read or feel if a situation is luring you into good oppritunity or danger. Intuition and experience are valuable tools. Good luck

The secret is that if we have the questioning habit about every thing around us with ,Why,How,When,Why not,We learn.There after,it's obvious.
