We should take Harry Truman's advice and treat all war profiteers as traitors, especially those Saudi sympathizers in the Bush Crime Family.

I think that armchair generals should have to have served first. Civilian leadership is great and all but too often you have people open their mouths though they've no idea what they're talking about. Oh, no they killed innocent poeple!!! Well when you're firing small arms in a city that type of thing tends to happen. Grenades explode to damage an area, there is no magic weapon that only hits the badguys. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. I don't think there was any intentional wrong doing, those guys are proffesionals in a very highstress job. They do the best they can but mistakes will be made and people should keep in mind that the blackwater employees are literally fighting for their lives on a regular basis.

Here we go Again.....I was there for OIF 3...My main job as a Military police officer was to train and oversee The Iraqi Police. The majority of them would frequently not even show up for work or if they did refuse to leave the station. They would get paid and disappear for a week or so then show back up. These guys would take and sell their Ammo for their Glocks (pistols). Now suddenly they are running complex sting operations and just happened to be at the scene of a Blackwater firefight? With camera equipment? Not likely. In my first hand experience (not a reporter who spent 30 min's with a soldier) When the shooting or explosions start you are suddenly alone No IP's. In fairness there were a few who performed their duties as honorably as expected, but they were few and far between. So based on my first hand knowledge of how the game is played in Iraq I tend to discount this incident. Not saying its impossible just highly highly highly unlikely. Another thing to consider is exactly what cowboydoc said. the media works for the terrorist...not us. Funny thing is if these oppressed fun loving freedom fighters had their way the reporters and press would be the first ones with the new detachable heads.

Unless you have been there and, have been under fire, unless your willing to give your very life for your fellow man and go over there, you have nothing to say about it. You don't know what happen, you have no idea except what a group that cannot be trusted that has faltered many times in the past (the Iraqi Parliament) and they are constantly pointing their finger at us, while we have freed their country for them to gain a new government however they want after we leave.
Read all of this years issues of "Times" magazines, it's enough to make you sick. All the stories that went untold of the soldiers, both men and women that no-one said anything about, that were killed with their throats slashed in back alleys, they were found with their hands tied with wire and their heads almost taken off by knife, atrocities that have never been mentioned. And they think they have a right to complain.
My Grandson has been over there for over three years, his stories would make a book for Stephen King.
