If you look at dell.com or hp.com or alienware.com ... Their shopping carts allow users to customize a product with images and meaning, AND it does not show that every part of the computer the person is buying like most shopping carts. I seen one cart demo - that after I customized my parts, I was going to be purchasing 14 items! Crazy...! No customer will use that ... hehehehe ...
I need the same features at the big companys in the shopping cart for the same business (selling computers).

What shopping cart out there is good enough. The only few I saw was:
SunShop shopping cart but it did not use big items just used little selectors to customize the items.
and
X-Cart which so far is the one, but it cost alot and is it all templates, which SUCKS! for a major company.

Please help anyone

Unfortunately, there are NO perfect shopping cart on the market, and none of them (even after customisation) work to your plans. Money and time spent are definitively not worth it...
However, with little programming skills, you can design your own in just a few hours. And it will do what YOU want.
I write e-commerce websites and I have spent my time removing ecommerce and shopping cart for many customers!

Hi There,
I got just the thing for you "Store build it!".
I'm a long time customer with them, and yes it's really crazy what you can do with their award winning software.
Their are tens of thousand off ways you can transform their shopping cart.
Last night I logged into my account, I tried what you discribed (with the build your own computer ect....) and it worked out just fine.
Heck who need web designers anymore when you can do everything with their software.
I hope this helps.

Store Build It!
"The Perfect Store"
East meets West. Ying meets Yang. C-T-P meets M. Perfect.

What separates Store Build It! from other e-store solutions is its intimate connection with SBI!. Together, Site Build It! and Store Build It! are a powerful one-two combo that work together synergistically to take your business to new heights.
