pitbull: I'd have to agree with with some exception. because of some parts of feminist just destroyed women. example: women want to be equal with men ok. men drink heavyly so should women drink heavy as well?

Old fashioned all the way!! It is the women and their "Let's be equal" stuff that made the world it is today because now there is no one to watch their kids,so they take them to daycare and that costs money,and now there are 2 cars,and that costs more money,and the cycle has expanded from there.Women,as i do say so myself as one,will NEVER be equal to a man!

I don't equate being a modern woman with "domination". I'll leave that to the S&M crowd. However, to answer your question, I would prefer being a modern woman.

Old fashioned women had much less freedom, no protection unless with their relative or husband, no vote, wore very uncomfortable clothing, had less say in the raising of children, were not equals with their mates and often had no say in who they married. If they were "allowed" to work out of the home, there were only a few viable occupations: teacher, secretary, librarian or nurse. A divorcee was a "fallen" woman, and woe be to the woman who went out alone or with girlfriends, smoked, wore makeup or didn't act demure. They were "hussies."

Womans liberation changed most of that. We have more choices in career, marriage, (or not) and are able to support ourselves if we choose not to marry. We have a choice as when to have children and how many, we can vote, and there are laws protecting us from harm by our spouses (or anyone else for that matter).

I can't imagine any woman wanting to go back to a world where we were second class citizens.

I enjoy the fact that I am a modern woman with old fashioned values. I can dominate my man sometimes, yet be submissive when I choose to. I also enjoy working on vehicles. What irritates me most is when men think that they can do whatever they want and they think that women should be barefoot and pregnant and expect us to work on them hand and foot.

I would prefer to stay old fashioned. I stay at home with three kids, homeschool and keep a tidy house. I love being with my kids, then sometimes I don't.( especially when they are all vomitrocious). I would rather be with them then away from them. I just love my kids and I couldn't imagine someone else overseeing them. It would make me sad missing the milestones...
But, stay at home live and or working full time it is not for all. It has to be our own personal decision, and we should NEVER make anyone ( stay at home mom or working outside the home mom ) feel guilty or rub their nose in it( I make more $$ than so and so or at least "I" get to take care of my own family) for the decision they choose. I've heard it all, I've seen it all. It will always be an argument, whose right whose wrong. Each person must make their own decisions.

i would like to be a mix. i believe that a woman should put her husband and kids first. but at the same time i believe a woman should make a contribution to society by offering her professional services like doctor,teacher etc.

Definitly modern. I enjoy living my own life rather then being told what to do and how to do it and even when to do it. Things are alot less stressfull at home and we are able to afford alot more and live a much more upmarket life style
