My boss has been flirtatious with me for quite some time and I was beginning to become distracted by it and feel romantic feelings toward him. I confronted him about it (totally awkward, of course) and I don't know where to go from here. On one hand, I'm glad that I said something because I was starting to feel a little obsessed about the issue and it was affecting my quality of life (daily). On the other hand, I think it scared him because he values his job and might be concerned that I'll report this. I don't intend to do that. We're both human and I know that there is/was some mutual level of admiration there. This is just a disappointing situation because we did have a good rapport and I really do respect him. If only I had been able to ignore what I felt were his advances... I'm somewhat worried about potential backlash...

Well if he didn't mean to flirt but it made you build feelings for him then you did the right thing.
If he did mean to and he's taken then you did the right thing.
If he means it and he's single, check your company policy.

Okay... he had better be afraid.
All that flirting is pretty much against labor law and can either get the company sued or him fired. If there is any backlash, it will be against him... particularly if he won't give you the same pay raises as anyone else.

If he is married he is probably cruising for a "side dish" to compensate for a lackluster marriage. Stay away from him and keep any interactions with him on a strictly professional level.

Well you might want to be careful because depending on what type of work you are doing who is to say he hasn't done this in the past and that you just aren't his next victim...he could be for real or could be using you...be careful especially if he has a significant other...
