I am having a hard time finding a pair of blue jeans that fit. I wear a size 14-16. (i know i could loss some weight, and things might be a little easier) The problem that I am having is, most jeans are low rise. Any thing that is low rise stops mid way up my bottom, leaving a very unpleasant view. Most of the time I end up buying mens blue jeans because they cover my bottom, however they do not look as fashionable as womens clothing. Any suggestions on where to shop?? I have already search my mall and had no luck.

Thanks in advance.

You have got to try custom made jeans. I get mine at Make Your Own Jeans. They start at just $45.00. You have total control over the style, fit, cut, rise, length, everything. I just love them. They really look great and they're comfortable because they fit so well.

If there is a Freddy's store near you, you may find a nice fit in their "Chic" stretch demin, which is what I wear. They are not very expensive, and give both ways. They have sizes up to 20 Womens, both tall and petite, as well as regular fit. I liked them so well, I got two pair each in light and dark blue denim and black.

Also, WalMart usually has a wide range of sizes at a reasonable cost.

Here's a good list of online stores to try for plus size jeans. A lot of these offer free returns to their local stores if you're not happy with the fit when they arrive.

If you don't mind shopping online, Newport News sells "curvy jeans." I've not tried them myself, but they're supposed to be cut fuller at the hip. (I agree, regardless of size they tend to cut jeans under the assumption that woman no longer have hips)
