For how long has this border been existing? How many terrorists have crossed this border to harm Americans? How many terrorist have crossed from America to Canada? Is it not common sense that when one is guilty one will always be suspicious? Why is Canada not a prrimary target for a USA would be terrorist that is inside Canada? Could this be a food for thought for fear mongeribg American politicians. Are terrorists not equally present in both countries?

Canada has actually helped us catch terrorists crossing our common border.

A man named Ahmed Ressam, an Algerian living in Canada, planned to bomb LAX. He was arrested at Port Angeles, Washington after crossing by ferry from Victoria, British Columbia, on December 14, 1999. Customs officials then found nitroglycerin and four timing devices concealed in a spare tire well of his automobile. He and three other Algerians stood trial for the crime. Ressam began cooperating with investigators in 2001. On July 27, 2005, he was sentenced to 22 years in prison.

Abu Zubdayah seems to have been tangentially involved in approving this attack as well.

This was when we still had a president that was serious about protecting us from terrorism.

There are more terrorists in the USA than Canada. On the news this evening. We have a large wealthy country here, don't discount the fact that terrorist won't try to get at us too.

We should be working together, not closing borders or building fences..if terrorists attack Canada, they'll be the USA's neighbours. We have just armed our Border Guards, we don't want any terrorists coming from the USA into Canada.

As for the comment that we are stupid and lax ... with our borders,(from the post above this one) try coming across sometime.

The concern isn't Canadian terrorists, it's people using Canada's lax security measures to get into Canada, and then take the easy trip across the border into the US.

The Canadian border is wide open.
I have a friend who was banned from entering the USA ( he was ,of course, completely innocent of any wrong doing.) and refused entry at Chicago airport but he just flew to Canada instead and got in that way with no problem

Canada is not a primary target for the most vile form of terrorist the islamists. They are working on ways to get operatives into the US through Canada. Canada is a socialist country that is FAR too politically correct for their own good. They will likely pay for their stupidity but we shouldn't base our security on their stupidity.

I am far more concerned about the border with Mexico but both need to be closed until we can get a handle on our country and who is entering where.
