I still believe the grossest thing going down my throat has been raw oysters. It felt like snot. I also did not enjoy caviar. I also did not enjoy octopus stew while living in Turkey. I also had lamb that was cut right off of one that was hanging upside down from a tree branch in a small town in Turkey, in the mid-noon heat of the day, while flies were landing all over it. We were driving on a vacation on the back roads through Turkey and stopped at a small (so-called) restaurant that only offered this one item on the menu. It was the lamb that I am referring to. The man sliced the meat right off of this lamb, and the lamb still had it's intestines, etc. inside of it. Then we were served sliced tomatoes along with the sliced lamb, that had been crawling with flies, in the hot sun. It was hard to force that food down and of course the Turkish owners were standing there watching us, with big grins on their faces. :o)

Sushi, raw oysters, anything like that. Yeah, squid is pretty nasty also, no matter how it is prepared.
