Try cheap hair spray in a aresol can. I use aqua net. make sure it dries before laying anything on top of them.
In Art class we used matte fixative, but I live in a small town where art supplies are hard to come by.

lightly spray with Krylon Matte aerosol spray. Just mist lightly so you can still add to your sketches. You can get it at most craft stores, Walmart, Art Supply stores. I use it all the time.

It's called fixative, it comes in an aerosal can. You can pick it up at any art supply store. If you are in a bind and have aqua net hairspray, that will work to.
