has anyone heard of someone getting pregnant after having a tubaligation done the new way with the metal coils put in

I have not personally known of anyone to get pregnant with the coils. However I had the same procedure done earlier this year and they told me that if I skip a period to see a doctor because it could indicate pregnancy and that it was 99.9% effective.
I can also tell you if you are thinking of having this done the surgery and recovery were quite pain full and it has effected my periods. They are much heavier now and I have much more cramping.

It is possible with the new method if the patient didn't wait long enough after the procedure. The way they do it with the metal coils is they insert them into the fallopian tubes and this causes irritation. This irritation will cause scar tissue to form thus blocking the sperm from reaching the eggs. It is recommended if you get this method of tubal ligation that you get a check several months later to confirm complete blockage or there is a chance of pregnancy...or worse an ectopic pregnancy.

Yes, I know of two cases where the tubes were tied and they got pregnant years later. This was before they did the snip and burn. My sister in law had the snip and burn and they told her if she were to get pregnant it would be a very high risk of eptopic.

YES! My aunt had her tubes cut, tied, and burned! And she still got pregnant! It was tha wierdest, most unusual thing i've ever heard of! Honestly!

cut and burned 14 years ago and never gotten pregnant since and trust me its not because I havent been trying
