The word "media" encompasses so much today that it's nearly impossible to give it a general rating. You have everything in the headlines from "Alien Baby Born on Farm" to "America Under Attack".

If I could mold the media to my own liking, I would change what is reported on. I think it's sad that the majority of Americans can tell you who won on American Idol last night, but can't tell you the name of our Secretary of State. We all know the private lives of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton, but we don't know what's going on in our own government or the decisions being made everyday that shape our lives. It's priorities that matter.

I would rate them a two at best. There is no accountability and little good news. I'm no Michael Moore fan but that is one thing he was right about. The atmosphere of negativity throughout mainstream media is disgusting.
