-3x^3(x^2+3x-3)
first you have to foil it, or in other words, multiply everything inside the parenthesis by -3x^3
so here is the work:
problem: -3x^3(x^2+3x-3)
Step 1: -3x^5-9x^4-9x^3
explaination: you multiply the coeffients and add the powers.
Step Two: 3x^5-x
Explaination: subtract 9x^3 from 9x^4, coeffients cancel out, you add powers together (4+-3=1)
Step Three: -3x^4
Explaination: x has a power of one, so subtract it from the previous power of 5, leaving coeffient the same (powers do not affect them) and there is your answer.

Sol:

1-(9x^4+9x^3-9x^2)
taking 3x^2 common we'll get
1-3x^2(3x^2+3x-3)
factoring the bracket

I'm not getting it....... :s

looks like it should be FACTORED, but it's been a few thousand years (grin) since I did algebra back in high school. Those were the days when we rode dinosaurs instead of bikes to school.
