Only if it causes harm to someone else. He's my best friend, so I will protect him as much as I can. But when someone else is hurt in the process, I will want him to learn from his mistakes too. That's what best friends are for. Not for covering up, but making sure that we get the best out of life. :)

I wouldn't rat anyone out for something like underage drinking or smoking pot or whatever, as pretty much everyone does that sort of thing...it's the way things are...but if they were driving drunk or doing something that could seriously hurt themselves or someone else...then I would have to do something about it...and it would be because I cared about them and wouldn't want to see them get hurt or have to go to jail, etc.

You did say best friend right? Do you know what a best friend is? I would soppose NOT..if your even asking this question.. Let me help you for future reference: A best friend is 1. LOYAL... you may not agree or even have the same attitude or ethics "at times" of your best friend, but that is the beauty of a best friend...THE LOYALTY that binds you thru good and bad times--year after year, after year....
In life you will probably only have 1 or 2 friends that you can EVER call best Friends, but when you do have them..NO WAY do you rat them out over breaking the law..If if ever gets excessive or they put "you in a position" of breaking the law then they are no friend to you..until then, you can disapprove but .... WELL, you know......HUM... just be careful who you call your best friend--When you do have one try not to get them purposely locked up!!

If they are taking a chance hurting themselves or others like in your examples, absolutely. It would be the most loving thing you could do for them. However, there is the old saying "A friend will help you hide, a good friend will help you hide the body!" You're a smart girl, you know what is right. peace

No because I would expect them not to rat ME out. The only way I could rat them out is if they were up to some crazy sick type of stuff but I wouldn't have those kind of friends anyway.

Driving on a suspended license or under aged drinking...no way. If if was something serious like rape, or murder, or burglary I would.

I wouldn't. Wouldn't expect them to rat me out, either. If they were involved in something really awful like murder, I probably would, because I wouldn't like that on my conscience and it's wrong, no matter what the cirumstances where.

Only if the reward is more than my truck payment. Then I'm squealing like a pig about to become bacon bits.
