It's better to look dumber than you are so that when you can come up with a great answer , you can amaze all your friends! Wow!
To be dumber than you look would be rather insulting when people ask you questions that you can't answer.
Me--I am just as dumb as I look. so generally speaking people already know what level of difficulty for the types of questions they should be asking me that wont make me have to contemplate too long or too hard
