of course Greg deserves the star! but so did Michael. I will admit, Greg's motives were selfish, but honestly, who here can say they wouldn't be motivated by a couple grand? 'oh no, I'd do it for the good of Bonanza City.' please...
and yes girls, Greg is pretty hot, I must admit. and he is stepping into the most important role on the show. all of the other kids see Greg as the bully, but he's just stepping up to the plate and taking charge as a leader. he needs to be elected onto the Town Council and lil' miss priss Taylor needs to get kicked the hello off. Anjay and Laurel are doing phenomenal, but Mike and Taylor need to be replaced, and the only two I personally see fit to take their places: Greg and Michael.
I know the show is to prove that children can run a society, but there is some age limit where children just don't take leadership responsibly. Taylor said it herself tonight. 'The upper class are the kings and queens.' sorry Taylor, no, that's not what its all about. when the Blue District was on top, Greg pitched in with the dishes (although the star served as some motivation) while Taylor criticized on the Red District's latrine cleaning abilities. maturity plays another large role in this. its not just based on age alone. I think the ideal age for a child leader would be 12 and up. however there are some pretty immature teenagers in this world, heck, even college kids act their shoe size sometimes.
now I feel I'm running this in the dirt and telling all of you what you already know. if you'd like to discuss any of this further or just tell me how wrong my opinion is, feel free to contact me.

First of all I don't agree with the notion that he doesn't deserve it because he was working hard to earn it and not just because of some sort of sense of moral obligation to work hard. Let's be honest. Any kid on there (or adult on earth, for that matter) would do the same thing if they thought they had any chance of actually getting it. And if you want to carry the "he doesn't deserve it because his motivation was money" argument to it's logical conclusion, no one should accept the money award because their work was just a moral obligation. That's ridiculous.
During the show I was hoping that Greg would get it. However, judging from the coming attractions, it seems he's going to act out because he didn't receive it, making me glad that he didn't. Sometimes coming attractions are (gasp!) misleading, so if he keeps up the work I hope he gets it next week.
Overall, it's interesting to see how people want to require moral superiority from children that most adults couldn't even pull off. Lighten up people!
On a side note, it's ridiculous when people try to post spoilers and call it "inside information." I could go on a rant about how 1) ignorant, 2) childish, and 3) humiliating that behavior is, but I guess this isn't the forum for that. Suffice it to say that those people should be embarrassed and should know that no one is impressed.
As far as the suggestion that Greg steals a gold star and the hope by another poster that he KEEPS it: Pay attention to the show. The star is not actually gold and is not acually worth much. It SYMBOLIZES money that will be distributed to the kid/family and will be earmarked for the kid's future.

I think anyone would work hard for a gold star.....Michael has a personal issue with him because he treats him like all the other older kids do when he's in school. Greg has a lot more experience...in areas that are vital to their survival. When he prepared the chicken I honestly thought some of the kids were actually climaxing on themselves because it was the first real meal that felt like home...I'm not going to take anything away from the michael that won the star...I just hope Greg keeps on this track and don't stray to path of being a bully.

Yes, and no I think Greg should get the gold star.
Yes, because he needs the money for college.
No, because he just seems to be doing good for the gold star. I hope he keeps it up if he really wants it.

I like Greg. He's a little troublemaker, but he is a teenager. He's really not that bad. I thought he did the most work and he worked hard. Of course he was working harder for the star, who wasn't? Michael just doesn't like him and that's why he didn't want to give it to him.

y'know, i was kinda pulling for him to win cus i figured there was always another week that michael could have gotten it.
at the end when he was like, "i'm gonna do something about it", i hope that means he's gonna keep working hard and not like beat michael to a pulp or something. i would like to see him continue to be so helpful around bonanza city : )
