How many will stay to face the slaughter against Boston College, USC, UCLA, and Purdue?

These guys aren't leaving, here's why.

(1) THEY ARE ALL ON SCHOLARSHIP.
(2) THEY ALL WANT TO PLAY FOOTBALL, and to transfer Division 1A to Division 1A, they have to sit out a year and lose one of their 5 years (1 being a redshirt year) of eligibility due to NCAA rules
(3) Weiss has a monster recruiting class coming in next year.

Think about it.

I doubt it (other than QB's transferring). It's not like Notre Dame has a bunch of talented athletes sitting on the bench (like they do at USC). If they did, Weiss would be playing them regularly.

Notre Dame is not a fast and athletic team, so it's getting beat up by faster teams. You kinda question Weiss' ability to recruit a little, but it's too early to fully evaluate his recruiting skills. Claussen was the #1 rated high school prospect but there's not much depth anywhere else on the team.

I give him another year or two after this season. He's led Notre Dame to 2 straight BCS bowls so that must count for something. Going to a BCS Bowl means $10 million+ to Notre Dame and they don't have to share the revenue with a conference. Think about the money!

I know Ty Willingham only got 3 seasons at Notre Dame, but he never got ND to a BCS Bowl game. Going to the Gator Bowl is a lot less money... Probably at least $8 million less to Notre Dame.

Not to worry, there are not many schools that will take the current players that are now with Notre Dame,Demetrius Jones left the Irish because he was benched after only one game,Charlie Weiss in his wisdom thought Clausen would do a better job at quarterback, now after 3 more loses there's rumors he might bench Clausen, which only proves that Jones as inept as he might have seemed the first game, was not all his fault

It's not a big deal, babe. This season will pass. People will be calling for Weiss' head. But after the dust settles, Weiss will recruit some of his own guys and they will be fine in a couple of seasons. No need to panic. Everyone has rebuilding stages... event the great Notre Dame.

Hang tight, sweetie. Your team will rise to the top again. Glad to see a girlie so interested in college football, too! Maybe you should talk to my girlfriend! :)

First of all stop calling yourself a hot babe; thats pretty lame and childish; this isn't girls gone wild.

Second, he is young and knows he's not in their plans. He's smart to leave and go to Cincy. Whats he supposed to do, stay @ ND and sit on the bench the rest of his career?

Next year this is all Charlie Weis team. All of the excuses end.

ND just needs to get some of the old priests back and have them do some praying like they used to do.

I honestly don't think many more will leave, though I really don't think the football situation there will get better...at least for a while.

They don't allow the players off campus, they'd get lost.
