Wow Made it with only 14 Characters left. And.. Will I need to pre-soak pellets in water then feed it to him?

No most betta food is high protein unlike goldfish pellet. Just keep in mind that dried food will swell in his belly. So avoid over feeding. Lastly some betta pellet are hard, and he may have trouble breaking it up into bite sized pieces.

You shouldn't have to soak the pellets, but this can help if if the pellets are too large to fit comfortably in its mouth.

If you're feeding things like freeze-dried brine shrimp (which aren't that nutritious), you can soak these in a vitamin solution to increase their nutritional value.

As long as our Betta eats the food there wouldn't be any problems. You don't need to pre-soak the pellets. He or she will be just fine.
