NEW YORK (Reuters) - Offering a grammar lesson guaranteed to make any English teacher cringe, President George W. Bush told a group of New York school kids on Wednesday: "Childrens do learn."

Is his brain just wired wrong, or is it because of his past? Or is he really that dumb?

Where did we find this guy anyway?

Peace

Jim

Two things I find amazing, is the neocons who are screaming murder here, complaining about lib grammar police, when its really about their (and I do mean their) president.

Second:
The guy has had 7 years to get some education so he doesn't keep making these mistakes. If I were him, you're darn right I'd do everything possible, including get a private tutor so I don't keep coming off like an idiot. (yea, yea, I know, the idiot basher will now come out in force --- hehe)

Peace

And they let him into Harvard with a C- from Yale. That is English children do not learn, much less a Harvard graduate who is illiterate! I notice the white house changed the wording. Now they are basically saying that anything that comes out of the white house has been changed or censored.

I think Bush just has a very low IQ and has never learned correct grammar! You would think a president of the US could at least string a series of sentences together that made sense.

Did you see his UN address? Pathetic! No wonder the rednecks like him!

Yes, it was a horrible attempt for a joke from Clinton, but a joke nonetheless.

Bad grammar on the other hand, especially from the President of the United States, is bad. Matters not which party.

Especially in front of kids. I seem to remember a certain VP that couldn't spell. He got raked over the coals from both parties.

And the only reason I'm not President is I don't have the money in my bank account.

Someone recently pointed out that old films of Bush speaking showed a much more articulate man than we now see. I guess he never paid attention to the ads that showed the egg frying in the pan, with the voice-over "This is your brain ON drugs." Also, alcohol has been recognized for many years as a destroyer of brain cells. Combine the use of both, and you have pure Dubya gibberish!

it's called a case of "stress". When a person is overstressed they have speech difficulties. The brain works correctly, the mouth just doesn't pronounce. Since this happens to all humans, I see no reason to obsess about this.

He has just vetoed the bill that would help poor parents with health care for their sick children because "it costs too much", he'd rather waste the money on the war. It's very clear how his brain is wired & what his priorities are.

He IS really that dumb. He has been babied and protected by whomever all his life.
Why should this be any different. The White House people then change the words on their website to "fit his stupidity".
Pretty pathetic...I must say !!!

Children do learn..... sometimes. I wonder how many times, when you speak, you speak perfect English. How many times you 'flub' your words, how many times you don't make sense. I wonder if you listened, or perhaps I should say, heard, your mother when she strived to teach you not to make fun of people or degrade someone. I wonder if you heard her, when she said, "Nice kids don't hurt other people." as she wiped a tear from your cheek when another kid hurt your feelings. I wonder if you were ever mocked and all you could do is ignore the stupidity of the who did the mocking. I wonder.... I wonder why some 'kids' children never learn.
