heap or watson?

They're both great plays, but in this case you've got to go with Todd Heap. Watson plays on an offense with so many tagets, it certainly opens him up plenty, but it also can have an adverse effect and diminish his opportunitites. Heap plays on an offense that will definetely move the ball versus a shoddy Cleveland defense and has an excellent matchup against a team that is ranked second to last in total defense and in the bottom third against the pass. Translation: expect Mcgahee to grind out a lot of yardage and for Heap to get some serious looks in the end zone. Not to mention many looks in play action.
Also, so far Cleveland has surrendered passing TD's to three tight ends in three games (none to Oakland, but two to Pitt, and one to Cincy). Not to mention the fact that they've been passed on for more passing TD's than anyone in the NFL in total as well.

This is a great problem to have. Most people would kill to have such great tight end options. Watson is the number 5 scoring TE and Heap is number 6. I try to keep things simple. This really comes down to the number of chances the player gets. If you look at Watson for the first 3 games he has had 2 games with 2 catches and 1 with 5 catches. He just happens to have a touchdown in every game. He hasn't went over 50 yards in a game this season. Will he score a touchdown in every game he plays? I say no way. Todd Heap had 4 catches in 2 games and 7 catches in another. His yardage has been better, he is just missing the touchdown catches, but expect that to change going up against Cleveland's joke of pass defense. Cincy cant stop the Pats offense but they have so many options that Watson might not catch a pass. Put in Todd Heap and watch the points stack up.

Ben Watson every week. With the new WRs in this offence, Ben gets so wide open. He has always been a good redzone target, but this year he has a TD catch in every game so far (early in each game too).

Heap versus the porous Cleveland Browns linebackers...he will be open all day and could be a go-to receiver.
