um if you mean in just water no land, then no, they can swim and they can have wrather deep water but just enough to submerge themselves completely is usually the best setup . if you mean like a fish aquarium kinda thing that is a definet nooooo. But if you just mean in the tank set up as a reptile enclosure yeah that should be fine but the tank should be pretty big atleast about a 30 or 40 gallon tank for babies but juveniles and adults should have a about six foot long by six foot high by 2 feet deep tank. This should hold one to three water dragons and it should be pretty haevily planted and plenty places for them to climb, water dragons can get about 3 feet long but that isn't common they usually get about 2 and 1/2 feet long. I also wouldn't suggest an all glass tank because water dragons don't understand glass and will just run right into it and can really hurt themselves. also you would need proper heating and lighting. good luck!

i could definatly bypass against getting an aquarium. they are extremely costly, heavy and could be broken rather unquestionably, then you definately could could replace the completed factor. additionally, with a huge aquarium there is not any way you may attain all the way down to the backside, you may desire something with a sliding part door. i've got informed you this various circumstances, water dragon enclosures could be custom outfitted. they like various top and length, a minimum of 6ft long x 4ft extensive x 6ft intense. For a substrate, you may desire to apply a mix of soil (without fertalizers) and orchid bark. this would pose a danger of being ingested and you may desire to bypass with Astroturf (the fake grass stuff). do no longer purchase any commercial bark or shaving manufacturers from puppy shops, they have been everyday to reason issues.

Only if it's a juvenile (and there's not too much standing water). These need a good bit of space, even though they get 2-3 feet long as adults.

Although they have the name "water dragon" they aren't aquatic - they need dry land, but do like to sit in their water - probably because it gives them the humidity they like.
