I usually sleep 3-6 hours during the week. But I can sleep all day when I am off work. I don't blame my job for not sleeping. I just stay up too late.

Don't ever take the sleeping pills route!!
1. They will damage your liver big time and you can get into serious health problems.
2. You will get hooked up on them and you won't be able to have a normal life any more if you don't take your pills everyday.
The sleeping pills industry is damaging our health by capitalizing on our ignorance, and by distracting people from effective and natural ways to deal with this problem. I had been taking prescription sleep medications [Ambien] for over 5 years. It stopped working and I simply took more. Still did not work. Nights were very difficult - medication put me to sleep but I would wake up after 2–3 hours with a strong sympathetic response (fast pulse, pounding heartbeat, wide awake alert). It was a very difficult cycle to break. I was really in bad shape due to lack of sleep.
After years of struggling I was able to cure my insomnia naturally and pretty fast. I followed the Sleep Tracks sleep optimization program, here is their official web -site if you want to take a look: http://www.insomniacure.net
Ohhh..and Good Luck!

I usually get 8-10 because that's what my body needs. I am fortunate enough to work only 2 days a week so that makes it easier for me to get what I need. But even when I worked full time I made sure to get 8 hours. Not having kids really helps too.

4-5. Definitely cause my teacher's are all convinced that we don't get homework in any other subjects or have any other classes and that we go to their class in the morning and are able to go straight home after and work on all the homework they gave us. They're all MENTAL. Seriously. I never have time for anything else. I get home from school, start my homework RIGHT AWAY, and I still don't finish until at least 11, usually later. With very few breaks. Sometimes I don't even stop for dinner, just keep going while I'm eating. Sometimes I even have to SKIP dinner. How horrible is that???

I try to get 8, but at the rate I toss and turn, I'm guessing only get about 6. I go to bed early cause I get up early for work.
On the weekends, if I go out, I just lose sleep...because I can't sleep in anymore.
