Mainly because they were stupid enough to think this administration wouldn't abuse it.

That is something that I'm not too happy with them for doing. A judge has found that the Patriot Act has omitted the part of the Constitution that protects against search without probable cause to either a citizen of the U.S. or a foreigner.

Reguardless of what they say. They know the Patriot Act is protecting us. They don't tell everyone about all the attacks that have been foiled due to the Patriot Act and they publically declare it unConstitutional, (Which it is not)

One of my US Senators was smart enough to vote against it TWICE. I think he was the only one who actually read it.

YA Demonrats are even dumber than the regular demonrats. Think about it, all they do is spend their time on Yahoo answers...how smart can you be if that's how you spend the majority of your time?? They are on here because they have nothing better to do, which is really sad. They are probably going to report my answer like the free-speech hating morons that they are.

They think it's all Bush's doing. They don't really hate the patriot act since they don't know what it does, they just use it as an excuse to whine and complain about Bush.
