Today the ICE (Immigration Customs Enforcement) raided 11 McDonald's stores and its corp. office in Reno today and rounded up 50 illegal aliens working there. Other uninvolved businesses closed their doors early today when they found out about the raids too. There was a small Mexican protest in Reno, but I'm wondering if this will make national news being that it is the McDonald's empire being affected.

BTW....one man (Mr. Mack) owns all 11 of the same franchises and was not expecting it. Not very good for there image, huh.

You say 50 Illegals, what's the big deal: look at Armour in the Midwest with 600 illegals working for them, they had to shut down for days, it was out of the news the next day, they were in fact working again, waiting to be deported, back at Armour.
The same happen at three factory farms in the central valley of Michigan. They rounded up dozens of illegals and while they were waiting for the buses to transport them back, they went back to work on the dairy farms until the owners could replace them, so what's the big deal.
If they commit a crime, arrest them and lock them up, no work? right? what's in a name?

Wow is right! I did not hear of this story.
I lived in Reno for 5 years and did not know there was one person who owned all the franchises there.
There is only a small blurb about it in the Gazette.
I have never heard of this happening to a fast food chain at this strange magnitude, especially the corporate office.
I think Mr. Mack pissed someone off.

What part of the word "illegal" don't people understand?
This business of nobody wanting to do the work that illegals do is a bunch of crap. Every job that had been vacated by the illegals that were picked up has been filled by law abiding citizens.
There are people trying to get into this country legally. Why should they have to step aside while illegals are taking jobs that they should be getting as legal immigrants?

I think "illegal aliens" should be left alone if they are only here trying to survive. Many of us come from such a background far enough down the family tree. Whatever happened to give us you poor and sick and destitute, or something to that effect. The only aliens we should really worry about is the ones that want to bomb us not the ones who want to make us our burritos that nobody else wants to do anyway.
