I am 35 never married, no kids, no friends, or have any desire to have those things. I usually spend all my time in the house, mostly in the same room and drink a lot of hard liquor. I do not leave the house for anything, except for food. That means I never come into contact with anyone, not even my parents or other relatives. I haven't seen the parents since the early 90's and they live in the same small town. I do have a college degree from a state school, but I have no ambition to be anything in life. I love being a hermit. I just want to be left alone and live by myself. So, what is your opinion. Am I a loser.

I don't think you're a loser. Everyone chooses a different life. The questions is are you happy or do you wish to live another lifestyle?

Sounds like a depressive disorder. Talk to your doctor. You may love being a hermit, but you may find if you come out of your shell, there is a lot more out there.

You dont have a disorder. To be content and satisfied is the goal of most people. your fine. its just that most people think they need more. you are only a loser if you think your a loser.
