I want to act. Like on the shows on disney channel. I dont know if im any good but i just cant find any auditions. I live in Arizona so its hard. Any ideas?

Hey there! First of all, it depends on what the people want from you. I went to an audition a few weeks ago and all they wanted to know was what type of accent i had so we sat down and just acted/read out a script. The most common auditions is to simply act out the character you are aiming to get a part as. Some Auditions may include workshops where they try to identify what acting skills you have e.g. confidence, varying emotions and how you react to an environment. Some require you to prepare a speech. Other Auditions may want you to just show your physique in order to get the right type of look for a character. Others may be looking for a singing part therefore, looking for good singers, dancing is similar too. I'm not sure about any public auditions websites but you can get a local paper showing varying auditions in many areas. If you want to get into this business my best bet is to join a drama school [locally if possible] that offers you to join an agency, therefore you get lessons to improve your skills and get parts or chances to go on a t.v. show. Movies are tougher to get into but still possible. Kind Regards

Yeah, this is a hard one. Television is produced mainly in New York and California, so if you want TV work, you'll have to go there to get it. But Arizona has some theatres you can audition for, and the working principles are the same for either. Good luck!

No Disney auditions in AZ. The way to find out if you are any good is to tryout for plays. It takes years of experience and training to become an actor.

Sign up on WWW.actorsaccess.com. They are the only site I'd trust.
Try to get an agent - not required, but sure helps.
