Gerber has some breastmilk freezer storage bags that aren't too expensive (unless you plan on freezing a lot). They are available almost anywhere that baby supplies are sold...look for them by the breast pumps. They are great because they seal well and have a spot for you to write the date on them.

I like both the Lansinoh and the Gerber bags.

You want to make sure you're using a bag that is made for breastmilk because they are sterile--regular bags like ziploc are NOT sterile and should NOT be used to store breastmilk.

You can find bags for breast milk in the baby section at Target, WalMart, Babies R Us, even some grocery stores.

If you go to a baby store like Babies R Us they will have bags that you can use (They take up less room). Just make sure you write the date with a permanent pen (Sharpie) and do not freeze longer than 6 months, and use within 24 hours of thawing out

I used those playtex drop in liners, the ones that say they can be used for breastmilk storage. The greatest is using an ice cube tray to freeze them and just using a freezer bag. A regular sized ice cube tray freezes them in one ounce portions!

I like the Lansinoh bags. They are strong, easy to label, and seal well. Also, when defrosting, just run the bag under hot water! The way the bag is shaped makes is really easy to pour out of as well.

(Just a hint - I found it easier to lay the bags down in the freezer rather than trying to stand them upright. This way they froze flat and were easier to store/took up less space in the freezer.)

Hope you find the one that works for you!

Playtex Drop-Ins!

You can pump into them, freeze it, then when you're ready to use it you just put it under hot water and pop it in one of the Playtex Nurser bottles! I love them!

The bags tend to leak! These don't!

I love the Gerber bags. That are not outrageously expensive, and they seal really well.

On the other hand, I really did not like the Medela bags. You have to use this twisty tie, which is really not waterproof.

I always used the platex disposeable bottle bags....they were easy to throw in warm water and then pop into a bottle.
