After i left my job I didn't move my 401k because i was working a job that paid cash but now I'm working and getting paid by check can i still get my 401k even though the company i worked for was bought by another what can i do?

Of course. You need to roll it over to an IRA. Contact the fund company where you had your account.

Contact the company that bought your old employer. Get the name of the plan administrator for the 401(k) plan and ask about your account.

If you get nowhere, you can try searching on the U.S. Department of Labor website to see if your old 401(k) account belongs to an abandoned plan.

1. call and ask. Maybe try the HR department.
2. don't they mail you regular statements?
3. Is it held at a brokerage or mutual fund firm? Can you call them? Do you have any of the past statements?
