I adore it! That would have been very high on our list this time around, had it worked better with our Mc- last name (too much M and C as it is, however LOL).
And I have to say, I was a bit surprised to see this one listed here ... and pronounced properly, to boot! I am needlessly excited over here. LOL Refreshing. ;)
Ps. I suppose you might want to list the origin and meaning so certain people don't think you can't spell/say Malachi. Unfortunate when something like Neveah (Heaven misspelled backwards) or Jayden (#34,782) can get rave reviews, and an actual name with a long history gets the thumbs down. :( It's an Irish name, folks! Check it out! http://www.babynamesofireland.com/pages/boy-names-g-n.html ;)

I don't really like it but that's just because it is how some people mispronounce this guy I knows name. His name is Malachi (mal-ah-ky) and this guy is really mean and sexist toward all the girls in my class.
Ok pretending I didn't have the above opinion I'd say it is an okay name for a baby but perhaps a little to strange.

I don't know what all the fuss is about the pronunciation - it's easy to say. There's Saint Malachy and Malachy McCourt. I guess it's a variation of Malachi - book in the Old Testament and name of the plumber's son.

I really like the name...it remind me of Malachy McCourt. I know a little blond boy named malachy and people call him mal or mala for short. so cute!

I'm sorry to say this, but if you are living in America, I don't think everyone will be able to pronounce it. It may mean something beautiful but I clearly don't understand it. It sounds pretty, but what does it mean?
