While it isn't a pet I'd really want to keep, here is a place to help you learn how to care for it.
This page is specifically about the Wolf Spider :

There was a large spider that regularly built a web on my front porch and I would throw small moths into it and watch it catch and wrap them. The spider would roll up the web every morning and remake it each evening. As long as it was outside, it was fascinating to watch make that lovely web and sway back and forth in the breeze. I don't think I would have been too happy if I had seen it crawling on my floor inside.

they will eat flies, crickets, mosquitos, beetle larvae (meal worms) and Wolf spiders have a fairly flexible abdomen that helps them to be able to eat a lot of food when it is present. They also can do fairly well without much food for a week or longer as they are able to decrease their metabolism when food is absent. All spiders and especially small ones, require a constant source of moisture. give them him a damp cotton ball. I know in the fall they look for warm places to chill out in so its all good have fun!
