i know about survival of species, and natural selection. but why? if we all have a common ancestor, how did it split and become more?
what drove that to become more complex and multiply? what was the point? why does life continually get complex... is there any reason as to why it would? and if so what is driving this mechanism...?

no answer yet explains what im asking.... im asking why did this start happening... abiogenesis occurs and then it just keeps getting better? why did this self replicating organism (not literally) decide oh ok, im going to start a process of evolution so i can get better. and change into different things. it makes no sense as to why life keeps occuring just because it does. how did a spontaneous generation just come out of nowhere and create a self replicating organism thats goal by the looks of things is to better itself to ensure its survival through natural selection and adaption?
there is no point of survival. all species do is reproduce destroy and be destroyed and evolve here and there.
the genome has no point to begin, better itself or survive in the 1st place. so why is it made to do these things?
