Me and a male partner are a suppose to act out the following Shakespeare quote in pantomime. So no props or sound(duh!).

Our problem is that everything we come up with comes across as being really, well without offending anyone, like were lovers...

Maybe were not making the right interpretation of the quote...

So any way, if you were in my shoes, how would you act out the quote below?

"What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet."

What's in an assignment? That which we call acting by any other name stinks to high heaven.

Sorry I think your teacher is an idiot. Acting out a quote? You should be acting out a scene. This quote is part of a soliloquy. written to delivered by one person. It makes no sense in acting class to do things actors would never do.

Act it out as a flower seller and customer. I bet you can develope that idea.

I'm not sure how you could act it out but think of it less with Romeo and Juliet and more like why do we always have to label things when we're all the same.

Hope it helped.
