I didn't learn a lot of common stereotypes until I was in my 20's.

Black people love fried chicken? Who doesn't? I'm white and love it, but I hate KFC.

Why are people still hanging on to these old stereotypes? Just because you see a few black people in a KFC commercial, doesn't mean it's racist. I turn the channel or do something else when commercials come on, but I'm pretty sure I've seen every race in a KFC commercial. Might be wrong, I don't pay enough attention to them.

What, a black man can't like fried chicken? To answer your question, they have marketing analysts who sample their customer demographics to include age, race, marital status, and family size, and try to make commercials that influence their largest, most clearly defined, or most rapidly growing segments.

Customers are different shape and size. Why not have a commercial with black people if they want to attract more black customers?

They also show them with white people too. KFC is part of YUM corporation. If they didn't show some diversity then you would be saying that they are racist for not having blacks. What do they need to do, to make everyone happy?

Do they not also show people of all races in their adverts? I guess it just reflects their intended/present customer base.

Most cleaning product adverts are still aimed at women and most beer commercials are still aimed at men. Most toy adverts are aimed at kids.

Advertisers know their market and how to push their points home.

Which commercial is that? Second, they (the black person) has a right to turndown the job, if they feel it is stereotypng.

Because if they didn't people would ask how come they didn't and wonder if it was just because the company was afraid to perpetuate a stereo type

it's a lose, lose situation for the company

Why not?
I never noticed, but then the colour of someones skins is of no importance to be.
