on my bench press it has a workout for leg extenions..im sure thats what it is..u can add weight to the front of it and tuck ur legs under the pad and raise the weights. but how would i do proper leg exercises with this? theres no place for me to rest my back? all input is much appreciated thanks

Your legs are just fine like they are. I wouldn't extend them if I were you. Then your pants would just be too short.

Just hold on to both sides of the bench while doing your leg extensions so you'll have leverage. As you have noticed, it isn't very convenient but it's the only way to maximize that contraption on your bench press.
