The solvent doesn't, isn't made to come off. You have to cut the line as close as possible and, add a coupling and, a piece of pipe to fit.

You're going to go insane trying to remove a coupler. The solvent chemically bonds the two pieces together. Even if you managed to get the pieces apart, which is extremely unlikely, that will be the weakest point.

Cut it out and run a new pipe from there.

The only thing I have ever found that cuts pvc glue is acetone. I use that to get it off my hands, but never have tried to get it off cement. Have you tried scraping it with a razor blade? G.L.

Cut it off, you can't get it apart. It's easier to cut it and replace it.

you don't, you cut it off about a foot back and put an extension on it
