In a large race like a marathon, the person that finishes second is still the first loser. But you certainly can't say that their accomplishment makes them a loser. Even the person that finishes dead last still accomplished more then the runner that decided not to run the race at all because it was too early to get up in the morning. No one should judge others and call them losers unless they have a complex about their own successes, which still does not make them an authority on others abilities or successes.

No, the antonym to "loser" is "winner". The antonym to "success" is "failure". So, the question is not valid. However, if the question *had* been valid, the answer would be yes. A loser is someone who failed. Now, this is not a blanket statement. A loser doesn't necessarily fail at EVERYTHING. In a specific instance, someone (everyone) has been a loser, since to err is human. So, we all have been a loser at one point or another, and will do so again.

Sorry kid.

A loser is someone who loses.

How hard you tried is NOT the issue.

We tell children "It's the thought that counts." because quite frankly kid's aren't usually very good at doing things.

Adults however should know you get points for results, not intentions. Nobody pays the Gardner for intending to mow the lawn.

Naw. If you have like a number line, a loser would be in the negatives, a successful person would be in the positives, 0 would be neutral.

You can be a victor without having victims."
