misconception here. by definition, lipid is a compound that characterized by the insolubility in water. the lipids are made of carbon and hydrogen and etc.
the lipid are classified into simple lipid (wax, oil and fat) and complex lipid (cholesterol and hormones)
the simple lipid only from 2 product if hydrolyzed (or 3 if we considered water as well in some cases). but the complex lipid form more that 3 products.
the triglycerides or TGA is made from 1 glycerol's and 3 fatty acids (broader classified according the degree pf saturation)
TGA is the oil and fat which are only the subset of lipids.

A glycerol and and fatty acid chains. Lipids can vary into the different types, however, with the addition of other particles. For instance, a phospholipid also has a "polar head" made up of a choline and a phosphate.
Lipids in general, again, are generally made up of a glycerol and a chain of fatty acid.
