Shouldn't we at least have standards for our President, if not our children?
The following is from Yahoo! News....
The White House inadvertently showed how it tries to prevent Bush from making even more slips of the tongue than he already does.
As Bush addressed the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday, a marked-up draft of his speech briefly popped up on the U.N. Web site, complete with a phonetic pronunciation guide to get him past troublesome names of countries and world leaders.
.... Doesn't that amaze anyone? And we're all responsible. We've let this happen, where idiots can lead our country, violate our rights, and nobody does a damn thing. It's really sad. And yes, this is just my opinion, but it doesn't eliminate the sad fact above.

Twice,
Bush was ELECTED and then RE-ELECTED at least when Bush mis-speaks he does so through his mouth, not through his Azz like Al Gore (and he still can't count right) and John Kerry (I voted for the war before I voted against it)
Because of Bush, you still have your Freedom of Speech, the liberals want to take that away from some people with their Fairness Act.

The man is not an orator. He's MBA; a bean counter. In fact, most of our early presidents were writers, not speakers.
This affliction no doubt is a problem in a society where leaders are expected to be eloquent movie stars. (Conservatives had one of those and liberals still hated his guts, incidentally.)
With Tony Snow gone, Tony Blair would be an asset to the administration. However, the position of the President is not the same as the Prime Minister, and should not be. Read the transcripts of his speeches instead of listening.
He sticks to his principles instead of creating new rhetoric for every occasion, we all know he fumbles in speech, but people who know him respect him as an honest, otherwise intelligent man and that's good enough for me.
Idiots do not know how to fly planes, get MBAs from major universities, or nail tyrants for breaking conditions of an armistice. And I'll bet the man knows how to do great barbecue, also good enough for me.
The last time a man took as much control over Afghanistan, his name was Alexander.

You know.. it would just be kind of cute.. or it would be excusable.. if it had been only once or twice that he does this. But is is every damn speech he makes.. he makes some stupid statement..and
No it is not right that he is president when he can't even speak proper English... so I think our candidates should have to pass a grammar and English test before even being able to run for president... he is such a joke!

He's a bumbling idiot. I've shook my head many times before over this buffoon. But c'mon!
It's insulting to use that grammar in a sentence about learning and education. It's jaw-dropping.
If I were him, I'd do whatever it took to sound less stupid if that's even possible.

Do you mean as opposed to the one wagging his nosepicker in your face proclaiming "I did not have sex with that woman, Miss lewinsky." Between you and I, I'd rather have one who misspeaks once in a while than the one who comes out with little gems like "Well, I smoked marijuana but I didn't inhale."

I recall a president who couldn't figure out the meaning of the word "is". I believe his name was Clinton.

it amazes me you liberals want to bash the man primarily reponsible for cleaning up the clinton mess with al qaeda and yet you can knowingly and willingly give clinton, arguably the worst president in modern history a pass.
- The only president ever impeached on grounds of personal malfeasance
- Most number of convictions and guilty pleas by friends and associates*
- Most number of cabinet officials to come under criminal investigation
- Most number of witnesses to flee country or refuse to testify
- Most number of witnesses to die suddenly
- First president sued for sexual harassment.
- First president accused of rape.
- First first lady to come under criminal investigation
- Largest criminal plea agreement in an illegal campaign contribution case
- First president to establish a legal defense fund.
- First president to be held in contempt of court
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions from abroad
- First president disbarred from the US Supreme Court and a state court
its possible because you out of control liberal extremists look at this situation through skewed thinking and if thats how you judge presidential effectiveness, there are obviously more serious issues you have than poltics.
