Do you know what it means to be considered a "red state" or a "blue state"?

On 1 day out of 1,461 days, as little as 50.1% of the people who are all of the following:
1) of legal age
2) eligible to vote
3) able to vote (physically present, or have absentee ballot)
4) willing to vote
actually make it to the polling place and vote either Republican or Democrat.

There is no state where 100% of the citizens favor Republicans or where 100% of the citizens favor Democrats 100% of the time.

STOP MAKING IDIOTIC GENERALIZATIONS.

More dentists live in red states (but got there education in blue states).

More prisons in red states.

Great leaders like George Bush came (in a round-about way) from red states.

In red states, you will find more pickup trucks with 'back off' mud flaps or my favorite, the chromed, well-endowed female silhouette mud flaps. These pickup trucks may also have the wolf-whistle horns and gun racks.

The film Deliverance was shot in a red state.

I live in a free red state. We have very little crime. I can leave my car and home unlocked and not worry about anything being stolen. The air is fresh and the water is drinkable. Test scores for children here are among the best in the nation.
Truth seeker you sound like you are living in a blue state.

I live in a Red State that has the highest pollution in the country
one fourth of it's residents do not have health insurance
it has the highest teen age pregnancy in the nation.
near the bottom in teachers salaries
near the bottom in teachers benefits
near the bottom in SAT scores
near the bottom in high school completion rates
near the bottom in affordable housing
near the bottom in environmental concerns
near the bottom in spending for police protection

if this is what red states are like, give me a blue one any day.

Blue counties include New York City, Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles...

Because the republicans pay the voters more to vote republican, than the democrats in blue states. It's illegal but we're talking the presidencies here.
