Because its supposed to be a democracy. For the people, by the people. The government is all for itself and whoever has the cash to motivate it.
I find your perspective exceedingly narrow.

Indeed - I am blessed to live in a free democratic country and so have the right to work as hard as I can to never let a bunch of SOBs like this lot run it again.
Andy G - did ultra conservatives feel blessed to live here when they were trying so hard to get rid of Clinton (and all he did was run the country really well in between bl0w j0bs)?

True we are blessed to live in the USA, but we the people are concerned that our government will sell us to make a dollar, our government hates us they tax us on every thing we do, we save money for retirement and they tax that money, most states tax food, the gasoline tax, should I go on. They will not be happy until we live like the people in India, they send our young to die or be maimed for there gain and pay them minimum wage.
So they hate us more than we hate them, they even sold our gold to the federal reserve and allow the IRS to hunt us down like dogs. The law they pass are for the rich corporations, to FOCK the working people. They hate us.

I pledge allegiance to the United States of America.
I have no obligation, to myself or otherwise, to pledge allegiance to the United States government.
We are indeed blessed to live in the US, there are countries where many of us wouldn't have the freedoms we have today. We wouldn't have ideals such as Freedom of Speech, something I hold among the most dear to my heart.
However, this country is ill. "Sick" if you will, with corruption and greed. This country, as great as it is, is suffering.
Our solution? Government overhaul. I'm not talking about the overthrow of our government or anything of that sort. I'm talking about electing competent politicians, not Democratic..Not Republican. Sure, one with party affiliation may be a great politician, and many are, however, these party affiliations (and the way people "bond" themselves to their party) create a "boundary" of what's acceptable for that candidate. A conservative for gay rights is an anomaly, as is a liberal for fiscal responsibility. It's sickening, to put it politely, to see our country going down the drain all because of party ties.

The current administration wants to be what defines America. America, or the American Ideal, is NOT the Bush administration. God/Allah/Buddah/Krishna bless America, because most Americans, even hypenated Americans, love America but hate what this administration is doing in the name of their country.

I guess that you are not an AMERICAN? What exactly do you pretend to know about OUR GOVERNMENT? Do you think that the U.S government Is the envy of all other nations,or what? How should we feel with a CONFIRMED LIAR In the white house,a congress that listens to MEXICO over Its own citizens, and just basically IGNORES what the AMERICAN PEOPLE want over and over and over again!!! I could go into much greater detail, but hopefully you will get my drift. Bushes approval rating Is 31%,and the speaker In the senate has a whopping 19% rating.... just running the government that no one else wants to run....

I love America and agree that I am very blessed to live here. I don't hate my government at all. It frustrates me sometimes, but that's ok.
