A few questions.

As we all know, Brian is WELL ahead of Beach Bum in Best Answers (I think he's like 1900 + and she's only 1700 +), my question is why does she still show up as Top Answerer sometimes? And, when she does, why is Brian not even in the top ten?

Secondly, why is it that, even when she was here, I never saw many answers from her? I honestly recall only one or two.

Lastly, does anyone else feel that to hold Top Answerer you should be required to NOT make your Q & A private?

And how can she have over 400 points this week and I haven't seen ONE of her posts? I think she's up to something.

The part that baffles me is the fact that I've been here over a year and only saw maybe 5 to 10 answers from her in all this time . And NONE in the past several months . I realize that I'm not here 24/7 but logic dictates that if someone is racking-up that many points then surely I'd notice her once in a while .

The fact that many if not most regular users have privatized their Q and A is unfortunate . But we all know why we do it . It's to stop trolls from reporting everything we say . Kinda like the difference of decades ago when people never locked their doors and now we not only do that but we also have security sytems and fences .

I'm not certain it's about 'points'. People should ask questions and get a variety of answers. Adding to your store of knowledge can't hurt. I have noted a lot of 'questions' like, 'why do 'liberals' eat their children' are fairly common. Gee...I wonder what kind of answer they're fishing for. I mean, come on....if you're a ditto-head, you might ask a sensable question at least once in awhile. Personally I believe that almost all of my answers are the 'best'...though not always the answer the questioner wanted to hear. Therefore, I'm stuck at a crumby 7%. Now I could tailor my answer to fit the questioners obvious bias, but then what would be the point? So, keep askin' and I'll keep answerin'...'ya know...it's not if 'ya win 'er lose and all that BS!

I very rarely see her answers. Maybe she is answering questions on GOOGLE. & Best Answer doesn't mean the answer is correct only that either the asker or other voters liked it the best. Example if one ask a question about giving more entitlements. If the questioner was conservative & all the answers were from liberals the asker would most likely either choose the most conservative one or let the voters pick the answer. Another example one that extolls the glories of Bill Clinton Presidency isn't likely to pick an answer that asks What were Clintons initiatives that created or fostered the economy of the 90's?

She may have multiple accounts and is gaming the system OR is it possible to be in YA politics of another country and still get rated here?

She used to participate a lot some months ago. Now I don't see her too often. Not saying she has, but some YA people conspire to post questions and give each other BA. Its not that serious...

edit: Her profile reads

"Been out of the country all summer and hope to get back to Answers on a regular basis in a month or so."

It's JUST Y/A - we're not talking about someone who is shady about anything IMPORTANT. Seriously, WHO CARES if she's found a way to alter her points? It's not like there's a prize for having the most points. Her actions have NO direct impact on any of us, so what's the big deal?
Why can't we just stop complaining about every little thing? You don't like what she's doing, report her, but stop b**ching about it already. Honestly, I've seen several questions about this - and she doesn't deserve the attention she's getting.
I have my Q&A's set to private becase trolls would report EVERY answer I gave. I got sick of having to contest every violation & having to get my account reinstated every other day. Guess what? Since my Q&A's are private, no more violations. Strange coincidence? I think not...

There is a top answerer for each category of politics and government. If you look to the left, there are several different categories within politics and government. If you click on military, someone else will be the top answerer. Elections, immigration, etc all have different top answerers.

he pulled me over in Tijuana one night, for going 1 km/hr faster than speed limit? and he wouldn't let go, until my friend gave him 5 bucks! Why don't you tell him how he might have gotten that 13 points?

As someone who spent many months in the #2 spot, I can attest to the glitches in the leader board.

When #1 went missing, her b/a's went down. The board still showed the old numbers more often than not.

Don't ask me what's going on nowadays.

There is clearly some sort of glitsch. I logged in one day to find out I was top answerer with 100 odd best answers.

I don't believe anyone should be able to make thier Q&A private. If you post it on this forum it should be easily accessible on this forum. What are people scared of?

I'm not sure about the numbers...

I've notice they always jump around? it's wierd... there's like a flaw in the system...

I think if you get banned you drop out... but I doubt brian's banned?

and you get one point for every "thumbs up" you get if you get voted best answer... so if you get 13... that's 10 for best answer and 3 thumbs up...
